Australia evisitor visa

Requirements

Eligible Nationality:

You must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries to apply for an eVisitor visa. The eligible countries include European Union member countries, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland, and Vatican City.

Purpose of Visit:

The eVisitor visa is intended for tourism, visiting friends and family, or engaging in business-related activities such as attending conferences, meetings, or negotiations.

Valid Passport:

You must hold a valid passport from an eligible country with at least six months of validity remaining at the time of your intended departure from Australia.

Intended Duration of Stay:

The eVisitor visa allows for a maximum stay of up to three months on each visit within a 12-month period. You should provide information about your planned duration of stay in Australia.

No Employment:

You are not allowed to work in Australia while on an eVisitor visa. If you intend to work, you should consider applying for the appropriate work visa.

No Study:

The eVisitor visa does not permit you to undertake formal study or training in Australia for more than three months. If you plan to study, you should apply for the appropriate student visa.

Letter from Employment/Education facility

~ An original letter from your employer/school (on business letterhead, with contact details), stating that a leave of absence has been granted and that you will be returning to your current job.

~ The Employment Letter must be addressed to Australia High Commission

~ If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return.

~ If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.

Good Character:

You must meet the Australian character requirements, which involve having no criminal convictions that resulted in a prison sentence of 12 months or more (whether served or not) and not having any outstanding debts to the Australian government.

Health Requirements:

Generally, you do not need to undergo a health examination to apply for an eVisitor visa. However, if you have a significant medical condition, you may be required to undergo a medical assessment.

Sufficient Funds:

You should have enough funds to cover your stay in Australia, including accommodation, transportation, and other expenses. This helps demonstrate that you can support yourself during your visit.

Genuine Visitor:

You must provide evidence to show that you genuinely intend to visit Australia for tourism or business purposes and have no intention of staying in the country permanently.
