Original, signed passport

~ At least 6 months remaining validity on the date of travel and at least 1 clear visa page

Passport Photo:

~ Include a passport style photo on a white background, taken within the last 6 months.

Proof of Residence

~ Scanned copy of BRP card

~ OR other proof of resident status in the UK,

Note that this should be valid for more than 6 months after your return from Hong Kong.

Proof of travel

~ Copy of tickets showing exact dates of travel from airline or travel agent.

Letter from Employment/Education facility

~ An original letter from your employer/school (on business letterhead, with contact details), stating that a leave of absence has been granted and that you will be returning to your current job.

~ The Employment Letter must be addressed to Hong Kong High Commission

~ If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return.

~ If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.

Personal Invitation.

~ If visiting friends or family, you must provide letter of invitation with:

1. the contact information of the host and visitor, who is responsible for the expenses

2. purpose and duration of the visit

3. confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature and date

4. You will also need to provide proof of the host's status in Hong Kong i.e copy of their passport and visa.

Bank Statement.

~ Must provide a copy of a recent 3 months bank statements showing proof of sufficient funds.
