Requirements

Passport

~ Passport must be valid 6 months after entry to Japan

~ Passport must have at least 2 blank pages

~ If holding Isle of Man passport then you must choose
UNITED KINGDOM as your Nationality when completing
the visa form online.

Visa and photos

~ One passport sized photo on an off white background of
photo booth quality

Visa application

~ Can be found in the downloadable pack

Proof of UK residency (if applicable)

You will only need to provide one of the options:

~ The original UK visa must be supplied. If its on a card then
also supply a copy of both sides. If the UK visa is in an old
passport supply the passport plus copy of the visa and the
photo bio page.

~ If the visa is in the current passport provide a photo copy
of it.

~ 'Your immigration status' print out from gov.uk showing
your name. ID photo, immigration status and 'Share code'.

UK company letter (scanned or original)

~ Must be addressed to Japanese Embassy in London

~ Must state the length of visa and amount of entries
intended

~ Must state the employer who is financially responsible
for the trip

~ Must include purpose of the trip and the name of the
company visited

~ Must guarantee that the employee will abide by Japanese
law

~ Must include passport start and expiry date, passport number
and nationality

~ Must state applicants full name

Important Information

~ The Embassy may occasionally require further information.

~ In the case of a non-machine readable passport, obtaining a visa before traveling is recommended.

~ Forms, photos, and documents should not be stapled.

~ Please note that scheduling an appointment is necessary before submitting your visa application, which may cause some delay.

~ Additionally, an appointment must be scheduled for visa collection at the Embassy
